Hudson wins in Rockdale County

Malcom Bridge Middle School fifth grader Charlotte Hudson recently competed in the ConyersTennis.com Jr. Spring Championships.

Oconee resident Charlotte Hudson captured the girls 12 and under division of the ConyersTennis.com Jr. Spring Championships held March 10-11 at the Conyers Tennis Center.

The fifth grader was the No. 1 and received a first-round bye, advancing to the quarters where she downed Keila Noel 6-0, 6-1.  Hudson kept up her winnings ways by beating Ester de Miguel Mota 6-1, 6-0 in the semis, setting up a showdown of the top two seeds in the final.  She was still on cruise-control and took care of No. 2 seed Marielle Leahy 6-1, 6-1 to win the title.

Hudson is a member of the Beck Tennis Academy at Jennings Mill Country Club, and is the daughter of Melanie and Jamie Hudson.
