Video: Watch Bill Nelson, Teacher of the Year, Accept Award
"He is definitely a leader. One who all of our faculty, students and parents look to," Colham Ferry Elementary School principal said of Nelson.
Oconee County Schools 2013 system-wide Teacher of the Year Bill Nelson said he was "in shock" when he learned he received the honor. His joy and appreciation are evident in this video of the big announcement.
"Mr. Bill" -- as he is affectionately known-- will now advance and compete at the state level. One deserving educator will ultimately be named the National Teacher of the Year.
