STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series Southern Qualifier

Collegiate lumberjacks from 15 schools in the southern region will along with professionals for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship and advance to the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series Championship at the Oregon State Fair in August. 

The four disciplines include the single buck, standing block chop, stock saw and underhand chop.

Ten of the region’s top professional lumberjacks will also compete in six disciplines, and the top 4 performers will advance to the U.S. Championship.

The University of Georgia's Forestry Club has done a lot of preparation for the event.

The Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters of and will sell concessions and raise money through parking.  All proceeds go to the FFA programs.
