Sunday Sales Law Opens up Opportunity, Debate

Members of the community weigh in on Gov. Deal's signing of the Sunday alcohol sales bill and how it might affect Oconee County if placed on the ballot for voters to decide.

Last week, Governor Nathan Deal signed into law SB10 -- a piece of legislation that allows communities to decide for themselves whether they want package alcohol sales on Sundays. Georgia's law formerly embraced the blue laws, which restrict certain activities on Sundays for religious purposes.

We asked some locals for their thoughts about Sunday alcohol package sales.
