Straw Poll Shows Oconee County GOP Favors Cain

At its "Remember Next November: Spread the Red" Fall Fundraiser on Nov. 6 at , the Oconee County Republican Party held a Presidential Straw Poll, according to a news release from Jan Hanley, chairman of the party.  Results of the poll are as follows:

Herman Cain: 35%

Newt Gingrich: 28%

Mitt Romney: 18%

Rick Perry: 17%

Gary Johnson: 1%

Undecided: 1%

Michele Bachmann, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Buddy Roemer and Rick Santorum were also on the ballot, but received no votes, the news release stated.

Cain has in many national polls recently and remains a top-tier candidate despite allegations of sexual harassment.
