Agenda for Watkinsville Council

The five-member council and mayor plan to discuss a resolution about Northeast Georgia Regional Solid Waste Management, a language change of "Conditional Uses", and an update of the definition of "malt beverage."

Watkinsville City Council will consider a resolution concerning  Northeast Georgia Regional Solid Waste Management at their monthly meeting on Wednesday, according to an agenda posted online.  Oconee County passed a similar resolution at on Tuesday.

Regarding old business, Watkinsville council may address and update the meaning of "malt beverage."  The definition could be amended to include any alcoholic beverage produced through fermentation of malt hops, barley, or similar products in water containing not more than 14 percent alcohol by volume, excluding sake, documents state.

After a first reading last month, council will consider changing language of "Conditional Uses", the agenda notes.
