Cash Reportedly Taken from Wallet at Oconee County Library

A 19 year old man on Saturday, Sept. 7, told Watkinsville Police that he left his wallet unattended on a computer desk while at the Oconee County Library, 1080 Experiment Station Road.Β 

When he returned at 5:30 p.m., the wallet had been moved to a different location and fifty dollars was missing, according to Police Chief Lee O'Dillon.

O'Dillon also summarized the following incidents in a news release:

  • On Thursday, Sept. 5, at 3 p.m., police were called to Colham Ferry Road at the elementary school after a 2006 Chevrolet backed into a parked 1995 Honda Accord.Β  No one was injured and both vehicles sustained only minor damage.
  • A 2004 Ford Expedition struck a parked 1999 Isuzu Rodeo at 7580 North Main Street at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. The driver of the Expedition advised that he did not see the parked Isuzu when he backed up.Β  No one was injured and only slight damage was done to both vehicles.
