Teens Indicted in Oconee County Sex Trafficking Case

Criminal indictments are not evidence of guilt; they are only charges. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

A grand jury earlier this month indicted a 19-year-old Oconee County man on charges related to the alleged sex trafficking of a 13-year-old girl.

Tyler Kaahlil Standifur of Dowdy Road faces formal charges of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, pandering by compulsion, aggravated child molestation and statutory rape.

The indictment alleges Standifur coerced the victim into performing an act of prostitution sometime between March 2012 and March 2013.   He's also accused of having sexual intercourse with the girl during the same period.

North Oconee High School student Salvador Martinez, 17, was indicted on one count of statutory rape for allegedly having sexual intercourse with the victim in the fall of 2012.
