Two public school campuses in Oconee County were recently the targets of criminal activity, according to incident reports on file at the
The assistant principal of reported someone broke in through the rear door of the school sometime between 11:30 p.m. on March 10 and 9:30 a.m. on March 11. According to the incident report, several windows were damaged but nothing appeared to be missing. The burglars/vandals also moved traffic cones that had been in front of the school and cut a support for a tree in the front of the building.
In another report, a parent told deputies someone threw eggs at his daughter's 2009 Ford Edge while it was parked in the lot near s gym on March 8. It happened sometime between noon and 2 p.m. and the vehicle wasn't damaged, he said. Deputies found other vehicles with egg on them in the parking lot. School administrators were contacted and the deputies noted in the report that they plan to provide extra patrols in the area in an effort to identify those responsible and to prevent future incidents.
