Truck Stolen From Athens Found at Watkinsville Residence

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville, Ga. police department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A 2005 Ford F-150 pick-up truck that was reported as stolen from nearby Athens, GA was located at a residence in Watkinsville on Tuesday, Aug. 21.

Athens Clarke County Police and the Watkinsville Police found the vehicle parked at a Colham Ferry Road address. According to sources the individual who had left it there had returned to the Athens area. The truck was recovered and charges are pending in the case.

Watkinsville Police responded to the following additional incidents during the week ending on Aug 26:

  • On Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 5 p.m police responded to a domestic situation at a Christian Lake address in regards to an argument over money. The couple in question agreed to separate until things "cooled down."
  • On Sunday, Aug. 26 police responded to a domestic situation at a Christian Drive address. One person was transported by National EMS to Athens Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.
  • Watkinsville police responded to 28 calls within the City during the week ending Sunday, Aug. 26.
