Sports Fields at Westminster Christian Academy Reported Damaged

An all-terrain vehicle may be to blame, according to a report at the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.

A steel gate and soccer and baseball fields on the campus of were damaged last week, likely by an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), according to a report on file at the .

A deputy was dispatched to the school on Saturday morning. Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 25 someone had damaged the gate that prohibits vehicles from entering the fields.Β  There were tracks and damaged areas of grass that appeared to be caused by an ATV, the deputy noted.Β 

The damage was estimated at less than $500.

It was the second time in two months that the school reported an incident of vandalism.

A school representative told deputies at the time she thought it was likely a prank.
