Power Tools Taken From Shed on Hardigree Bell Road

A workshop on Elder Road was also burglarized this week.

Two cases this week of burglarized outbuildings are under investigation by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.

An estimated $1,000 worth of power tools was removed from a shed in the 1100 block of Hardigree Bell Road. The burglary reportedly occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Oct. 16 and 3 p.m on Oct. 18, according to an incident report. A hammer drill, battery drill, miter box saw, portable planer, and reciprocating saw were among the items stolen.

Earlier in the week, items were taken from a workshop located on a property in the 1600 block of Elder Road.Β  The burglary occurred sometime between 2 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 16.Β  Welders, chainsaws, a shotgun, a rifle and a handgun were taken, collectively valued at $3,000. The mailbox was also damaged and knocked down.
