Oconee Sheriff's Office Crime Report

A highlight of incidents reported during the week of Feb. 9- Feb. 16.

Oconee County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested two individuals for shoplifting and investigated a burglary and theft of fuel during the week of Feb. 9 to Feb. 16.

  • On Feb. 8, a man reported $70 worth of fuel had been siphoned from his freight-liner truck, which had been parked overnight at a convenience store at 4500 Monroe Highway in Statham, reports said.
  • Booking reports show that deputies charged 17 year-old Miguel A. Perez of 190 Old Monroe Road in Bogart with battery and theft by taking on Feb. 9. Total bond was set at $2,000, the reports noted.
  • On Feb. 11, deputies investigated a burglary at 2060 Epps Bridge Parkway in Pinewood Trailer Park, according to incident reports.Β  The resident said a computer, 2 dvd players, a stereo, a microwave oven, and clothing were among the items missing, reports noted.
  • On Feb. 14, Aleisha B. Holbrook, 19, of 1255 Lackey Road in Winder was arrested on a shoplifting charge and booked at Oconee County Jail, according to reports.
