Man Accused of Shoplifting TV from Oconee Walmart Leads Police on Chase
The suspect is facing charges in Oconee County and Athens.
A Madison County man was arrested Sunday, June 23, after the Athens Banner-Herald says he led police on a car chase.
Larry Matthew Croxton, 36, is accused of shoplifting a 32-inch television from the Walmart store on Epps Bridge Parkway. The Banner-Herald reports he has been charged in Athens with simple battery on a police officer, obstruction, escape, running stop signs and attempting to elude, and the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has filed a charge of shoplifting.
