A 20-year-old Lizella man who was indicted in August on five counts of distributing obscene materials to an Oconee County teen has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, according to The Oconee Enterprise.
Martin Coty Johnson entered a guilty plea last week on a charge of computer pornography and was sentenced to eight years of probation, the newspaper reported. Additionally, Johnson, who was granted first offender status, must pay a $1,000 fine, register his residency on Georgia's sex offender list, and have no contact with the victim, according to the article.
The United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force helped take Johnson into custody on July 5 after the victim's family reported the incidents to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
