Authorities Searching for 'Violent and Dangerous' Robbery Suspect
Rickie Korey "Woo" Powell, whose last known address was in Oconee County, is wanted in Athens for allegedly assaulting an officer with a vehicle during a robbery at a gas station.
Authorities are searching for a man they say assaulted an Athens-Clarke County police officer with a vehicle during the robbery of BP Gas Station at 4000 Lexington Road on April 18.
There are active warrants in Rickie Korey "Woo" Powell's name for robbery by force, aggravated assault, aggravated assault on a police officer, and obstruction, police said, adding that Powell "should be considered violent and dangerous."
According to a Nixle alert, Powell's last known address was Old Farmington Road in Bishop.

"He is known to frequently visit Clarke County to include the areas of: Bailey Street; Epps Bridge Road; Martin Circle; Milledge Avenue; Whitehall Road; Downtown," the alert states.
