Former Parapro Found Guilty on Two Counts

Jeremy Wetzel has been convicted of possessing computer pornography and furnishing obscene material to a minor via electronic transmission.

A former North Oconee High School paraprofessional and assistant baseball coach has been convicted of computer pornography and furnishing obscene material to a minor via electronic transmission, the Oconee Enterprise reports.

Clerk of Superior Court Angela Watson said the trial lasted for three days and that the guilty verdict was returned at 11:55 p.m. Friday.Β  A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled, she said Tuesday.

Wetzel was acquitted of a child molestation charge that stemmed from the sending of electronic images of a sexual nature and not a physical act.Β
