Attempted Shoplifting at Walmart Fails

The information comes from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. An arrest isn't the same as a conviction.

Oconee Count Sheriff's deputies responded to a misdemeanor shoplifting call at the Walmart on Epps Bridge Parkway on December 10th close to 2am.

The store's loss prevention officer had spotted Jennifer Ann Brock, 27, of Monroe, trying to leave the store with a cart full of various items. These included toys, a corn popper, clothes pins, cosmetics, a baby bath and music, records show.

She went to her car, opened the trunk and put the items inside and drove away as authorities approached her. She drove away and was later stopped by law enforcement in Walton County and returned to Oconee County.
