Undefeated on Home Turf

Your hometown club was undefeated on home turf this past weekend.

The Oconee Soccer Alliance was undefeated at home this past weekend.

U13 Black boys had a 7-0 loss to South Georgia United.

U13 White boys Played two games on Saturday. The first one was away against NASA and was a 1-4 loss. The second game was at home against Savannah Coastal Rovers and was a 1-0 win. Goals in each game were scored by Jonathan Schulz. Sam Rogers was amazing in the goal.

U13 Red boys played a scrappy game against Concorde Fire Sunday afternoon. The team won 5-2 with goals by Victor Silva-Ornelas (2), Marcel Siger, Ben Mackay on a penalty kick, and Ignacio Bustamante. The Concorde team earned two yellow cards during the match.

U13 Girls had a 4-2 win over Georgia Mountains. Kaley Mayer scored one and Christine Mmembele had a hat trick.

U15 girls played in Augusta against the Arsenal team. Oconee won 3-0 on goals scored by Anna Gentry and Anley McLaine.

U17 Girls played NASA at OVP Sunday. The score was tied 0-0 at the half. Jessie Denney scored 2 goals and MacKenzie Mullinax scored 1 to take the team to a 3-0 win. Ally Howell made some incredible saves as keeper.

U14 boys played UFA at the Polo fields and lost 4-0.

U15 boys played in Dublin against Laurens United. The boys pounded the Laurens team with an 11-2 victory.

U16 boys did not play.

U17 boys tied 2-2 Stone Mountain Youth Soccer Association on Sunday at OVP. Hard fought first half which ended with a score of 0-0. SMYSA scored first early into the second half with an equalizer pushed in by Greg Merideth off a free kick from Chase Kane. OSA U17s took the lead off a bending free kick by Daniel Mendsen that hit the inside of the post. SMYSA tied the game up with 10 minutes left in the game. OSA worked hard for the win with great play by the defensive backs to continue to push the ball to the outside midfielders. Great shot opportunities in second half including a rocket shot from Dennys Gaona that hit the post but the game ended in a tie.

U19 Rock did not play.

U19 Howard did not play.
