Both Teams who entered were Finalists in the Triumph Cup Tournament

Two OSA teams were Finalists at the Triumph Cup Tournament.

The U13 Red Boys finished their season on Sunday with a tough 4-1 loss to Tigers SC.


The U14 Boys went to the Triumph Cup Tournament this weekend. The boys went undefeated the whole tournament defeating every team with a shut out. The first game Saturday was played against  Excel and the team won 2-0.  AFC lightning was the second opponent and the team won again 2-0. Sunday, the boys played a team from Florida ASG and beat them with another shutout 1-0 which took the team to the Finals. Sunday afternoon the team played Blue Springs Dynamo and tied them 0-0 in regulation. The game went on to penalty kicks where the team came in second place. The defensive line up including John Pokoski, Gerardo Gomez, Mitch Hanson, Rhodes Baldwin and our goal keepers- Benah okoth and Timmothy Denton were solid all weekend leading the team to four shutouts. This team definitely played their hearts out! The scoring players were Thomas Murray, Joseph Layton, Jack Perry, and Gerardo Gomez.


The U15 boys beat Lanier Sharks 3-0 at home on Saturday for their last game of the season. The team had a great season going 9-0-1 and were promoted to the next division.

The U17 boys played in the Triumph Cup tournament this weekend.  OSA won its first game against AFC lighting 2-0 with Goals by Chase Kane and Luis Ulloa.  The second game was a tie 1-1 against SMYSA U16 Classic 1 Boys.  Goal by Daniel Mendsen.  OSA had to win or tie third game to win the group and make the finals. They pulled out the win against SMYSA U17 boys. The score was 2-1 with goals by Luis Ulloa and Chris Bible. In the finals, OSA went down 0-1 to SMYSA U16s in the first half on a penalty kick from a foul in the box.  In the second half OSA picked up the pace and score its first goal from a corner served by Daniel Mendsen which found the head of Chase Kane.  Greg Meridith scored the second goal on a through ball by Chris Bible to take a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes left in the game.  With 8 minutes left in the game, a late foul in the box gave SMYSA yet another penalty kick which tied the game up at 2-2.  Game ended in regulation time at 2-2 and tie breaker of Kicks from the mark followed next.  OSA lost 5-6 on PKs to take 2nd place.  Great games all weekend by all of the boys. This weekend was a collective team effort.  Our guys played for each other and OSA.  Daniel Mendsen & Manuel Martinez in the midfield, Bruce Tucker, Blake Tolbert, Jake LeFeuvre in defense played exceptionally well throughout the tournament. Coach Jordan Prempeh had this to say about this weekend.  "These tournaments are great for players to get exposure and is a great way to represent what Oconee Soccer Alliance is about".
