Oconee County Seeks Animal Control Officer

Description: A full-time ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER position is open.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in animal behavior, animal handling, and euthanasia; supplemented by 5 to 11 months previous experience and/or training involving animal control or animal handling; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid Euthanasia Technician certification. Must complete and maintain NACA Level I certification with one year of hire date. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

How to Apply: Submit applications from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Oconee County Board of Commissioners' Human Resources Office at 23 North Main Street (Oconee County Courthouse), Room 203.  The Application and the Authorization to Release Information on Driving History and  may be downloaded from online.
