Watkinsville Road to Close Monday for Repair Work at Church

Whitehall Road/Simonton Bridge Road will be closed on Monday, May 16 from Main Street to First Street beginning at 9:30 a.m. to allow for repair work at  , according to a news release from Watkinsville Police Chief Lee O'Dillon. 

Watkinsville Police will be on the scene to assist with the traffic disruption.  Vehicles traveling toward Main Street will be detoured onto Second Street.  Traffic will not be allowed to turn from Main Street onto Whitehall Road.

The repair job requires a large truck, with a crane, to be positioned on the street, and the road is expected to be closed for about one hour.
