Regional Roundup: Funerals Set for Spa Shooting Victims, Lawsuit Reveals Murdered Monroe Man Had Frustrated Business Partners, and Arrestee Kicks in Patrol Car Window

The funerals have been scheduled this weekend for the at Su Jung Health Sauna.

All services and visitations will take place at Lee's Funeral Home in Decatur.

The service for Kum Hi Song and Byong Ok Kang is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, with visitation for 5 p.m. Friday. The two will be buried at North Atlanta Memorial Park in Dunwoody.

The service for Kum Sook Kim and Tae Yol Kim, in addition to shooter Jeong Soo Paek, is set for 3 p.m. Sunday. Their visitation will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, and three will be buried in Maryland.

Song and Kum Sook Kim were Paek's sisters, and Kang and Tae Yol Kim were the sister's husbands.

According to police reports, the shooting occurred at located at 6005 Buford Highway on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Paek had entered the spa around 8:40 p.m. and opened fire on the four victims before turning the gun on himself.

Charles Stephen Parker was supposed to have used half a million dollars entrusted to him to start a poultry business, but Parker failed to secure a loan and may have spent some of the money, the Athens Banner-Herald reports from a lawsuit filed in Walton County.

The lawsuit, filed on Feb. 7, seeks the return of investors' money and claims that Victor Blockum, a business associate who told police he was dropped off by Parker in Athens the day he went missing, tried to withdraw the money from a bank account shortly after Parker disappeared.

According to the newspaper, a response filed by Blockum's attorney says he tried to withdraw the money to pay back the investors.

Parker, 25, of Monroe . His wallet, duffle bag and car were found in Athens shortly after he went missing, and then in an Oglethorpe County well on Feb. 21. An autopsy has determined that he was shot to death.

A for Parker is planned in Lithonia on Saturday.

-- Barrow Patch

A Bethlehem man accused of demanding beer from his neighbor while wielding a knife kicked the window out of a patrol car following his arrest.

Joshua Andrew Barrett, 29, of Briscoe Mill Road, was arrested Feb. 16 and charged with with probation violation, two counts of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, armed robbery, criminal interference with government property and criminal trespass.

Barrett was arrested and transported to the , where he reportedly kicked the rear window out of a patrol car before collapsing in a cell and being transported to Athens Regional Medical Center.
