Attempted Armed Robbery in Loganville -- Loganville-Grayson Patch

Loganville Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob the Athens First Bank and Trust about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday.

“What we know is that he is a black male, about 5 foot 10 - 6 foot, thin, and he was last seen wearing dark pants and jacket and a light colored stocking cap – the kind with flaps that come down over your ears,” said Lt. Mike Westbrooks of the Loganville Police Department. “He was also wearing material of some sort covering his mouth.”

Westbrooks confirmed that the witness, a bank employee arriving early to open up, did see a gun in the man’s hand.

More than 100 Live Chickens Fall off Truck – Cumming Patch

About 150 live chickens crammed into a cage fell off a truck late Monday morning causing authorities to shutdown Matt Highway (SR 369) between Wallace Tatum Road and Whitmire Road in north Forsyth County for awhile.

According to Capt. Jason Shivers of the Forsyth County Fire Department, many of the chickens in that cage were killed on impact.

"And that's what shut the road down for some time was the fact that the cage fell off the truck and there were chickens in various stages on the highway," said Shivers.
