It's Homecoming at North Oconee High School!

  • A joint reception for Georgia Small Works -- art produced by "artists working in a small format"-- and the gallery of Paintings by Virginia Parker will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the .  The paintings exhibit close on Oct. 21 and the Georgia Small Works will be on display through Nov. 12.
  • It's the beginning of the month, which means time for another in downtown Watkinsville. Mayor Joe Walter says this month's celebration is particularly unique because the "Northeast Georgia Antique Tractor Club has devised a device whereby an idling tractor operates two or three ice cream churns, consequently, free ice cream for all." The will be many fall activities for families to enjoy including Bobbing for Apples, pumpkin decorating, crafts, and free hay rides, he added.  It all begins at 6 p.m.
