The 2012-13 Mini Grant awards will be presented at the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce After Hours at Gainesville State College this evening. See what else there is to know in and around Oconee today.
Weather: The Weather Channel predicts a 30 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. Overnight, lows will drop into the low 60s.
Top things to know:
- Graduation is only a couple of days away, and in preparation, OCHS and NOHS seniors have graduation practice. Oconee County High seniors should meet at UGA's Stegeman Coliseum at 9 a.m. and North Oconee seniors should report at 1 p.m.
- Families in need of groceries can come to the parking lot of Malcom Bridge Elementary School from 4-6 p.m. where the Connecting Point Church and the FoodBank of NEGA are hosting a mobile food panty. .
- The 2012-2013 Mini-Grant Awards will be presented during the at Gainesville State College. It begins at 5:15 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 522
- The 2012 Oconee County Middle School Chorus Show begins at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at North Oconee High School.
