1. You may want to put on a light jacket and grab an umbrella before heading out the door.  The work week starts out with a 30 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms and cooler temperatures.  Highs are only expected to be in the mid to upper 60s. 

2. Deputies from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office went to Washington D.C. to participate in National Police Week last week and are on their way home today.  Look for a feature later this morning by Chief Deputy Lee Weems that explains more about what the event means to law enforcement and families of fallen peace officers.

3. Plan ahead for a in Watkinsville. Starting at 9:30 a.m., Whitehall Road/Simonton Bridge Road will close for repair work at  .  Police will redirect traffic in the area.

4. It's the final stretch of classes this school year for Oconee County Schools, and  the is holding a from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.  Snacks and drinks will be provided for teens and certain areas of the library will be designated as study zones.
