A special program at the Oconee County Library this evening teaches about recycling, pollution and other environmental issues.

Weather: Another windy day is in the National Weather Service forecast.  Gusts could reach speeds of up to 30 mph.  Sunny skies are expected during the day and mostly clear skies overnight.

Top things to know:

  • Help with tax form preparation is available for free at every Monday through April 9 from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.  Members of the AARP will assist on a first come first serve basis.  Assitance is open to adults of all ages.
  • for the position of superintendent will be named at this evening's Board of Education work session.  The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the school district central offices building.
  • A free driver's education parent workshop offered by Open Road Services will be held at 6 p.m. Register online at www.georgiaopenroad.com or by calling 770-725-2511.
  • Bogart City Council meets on the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
  • Offutt's Epic Environmental Adventure is coming to the Oconee County Library at 7 p.m. This free event for the whole family features renowned storyteller Andy Offutt and will teach about "pollution, recycling, the food chain and the interdependence of life," according to the library's website.
