Magic, school supplies, and a government meeting are a few of the things to know about in Oconee today.

1. Another scorching day is in the forecast as highs are expected to climb into the upper 90s.Β  The area will again be under a starting at 11 a.m. Watch out for a 30 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms mainly after 6 p.m.

2. on Epps Bridge Parkway is hosting a networking breakfast for CauseSavers.com from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event is free but guests are encouraged to RSVP.

3. Kids of all ages are invited to a at the Oconee County Library featuring magician and ventriloquist Keith Karnok. It begins at 10:30 a.m.

4. are being collected for the 6th annual Regional Teacher Reuse Store which will take place on Aug. 13 at the Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste facility.Β  Teachers from Oconee, Clarke, Madison, and Oglethorpe Counties will benefit from free, reused supplies such as binders and paper or folders.
