Time to light the Christmas tree in downtown Watkinsville!

Weather: Highs will be in the mid 60s and there will be sunny skies. Clear skies are expected overnight with lows in the mid 30s.

  • Stop by the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation at 5 p.m. for t featuring more than 80 local and regional artists and the opening night of the . 
  • The 2011 season of First Fridays comes to a close with the lighting of Watkinsville's Christmas tree.  Festivities begin at 6 p.m. in downtown. First Fridays are sponsored by the Watkinsville Trade and Tourism Association.
  • Alice DePass Studio presents "The Emperor's New Clothes" at the .  The ballet begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10.
  • varisty football team travels to take on Savannah Christian in the Class A state semifinals. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. Go Wolverines!
  • UGA men's basketball team hosts Cincinati at 7 p.m. at Stegeman Coliseum.  General admission is $15.
