Proceeds from photos with Santa at Oconee Preschool Academy this evening will benefit Oconee Relay for Life. See what else there is to know.

Weather: Tuesday warms up a bit with a high temperature of 60 degrees. The National Weather Service predicts partly sunny skies.

Top things to know:

  • Have pictures made with Santa from 6-8 p.m. at .  There will also be other activities for children such as cookie decorating. The cost is $10 per family and all proceeds will be donated to Oconee Relay for Life.
  • Ever wanted to see the Geminid meteor shower, Venus, cloud belts, the moons of Jupiter and the winter constellations? Come to Sandy Creek Park in Athens for stargazing beginning at 6 p.m.  The entry fee is $2 per person. 
  • Georgia Children's Chorus presents "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," a holiday concert, at 8 p.m. in the Hodgson Concert Hall of the UGA Performing Arts Center.  Tickets are $5 each.
  • Patch is searching nationwide for the best decked out home this holiday season.  Do you have holiday displays and Christmas lights outside of your house? Snap a photo and you could win $100,000 for Oconee County Schools or $500 to help pay your power bill!  !
