Weather: Sunny skies are in the forecast for Saturday and high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s. The National Weather Service predicts overnight lows in the low 30s and clear skies.

  • The University of Georgia community gathers to .  A public memorial will take place at Sanford Stadium at 1 p.m. 
  • Injured Marine Lance Cpl. Michael Boucher comes home for the holidays next week, and his friends and family are asking the community to display yellow ribbons in his honor and in honor of all the men and women in the armed services. .
  • There are two opportunities to see Santa Claus in Oconee County today.  First, the Bogart Community Center is hosting at 9 a.m.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots or canned food for ACTS Food Bank. Next, take the kids to at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or from 1-3 p.m. Requested admission fee is $2 or an unwrapped toy, but no one will be turned away.
