The last day of qualifying for municipal elections and an Oconee County Schools system-wide school council meeting are a few of the things to know about happening in and around Oconee Today.
Weather: Mostly sunny skies with a high temperature in the low 90s. Expect partly cloudy skies overnight and a low termperature in the high 60s.
Things to Know:
- Today is the final day to for mayor or city council posts in Watkinsville and North Shoals for the upcoming Nov. 8 election. Interested candidates need to file a notice of candidacy and pay a filing fee at each city's town hall by the end of the business day to be put on the ballot.
- Oconee County Schools will hold a system-wide school council meeting at the Board of Education office at 34 School Street at 4 p.m. today.
