Balloons, Music Greet Customers On Grand Opening Weekend at Five Below

Oconee County's newest retail shop, Five Below, is holding a celebration this weekend complete with music, trivia and raffles.

Friday afternoon shoppers were treated to five-cent hot dogs and special deals.

"Anytime we open a store we get really excited to open the doors to the community to have a good time and celebrate with them," director of marketing operations Elizabeth Romaine said.

Festivities will continue through Sunday, and free t-shirts will be given to the first 300 customers each day, Romaine said.

Everything in the store, located at Epps Bridge Centre, is priced at five dollars or less, and merchandise is targeted to teens and preteens. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The Oconee County store is the 13th location in Georgia. The company expects to have 300 stores around the country open by the end of the year, Romaine said.
