Man Raising Awareness for Parkinson’s With Cross Country Bike Ride Passes Through Watkinsville

In a blog documenting his trip, Steve Quam of Anderson County, South Carolina mentions the hospitality shown to him by First United Methodist Church last week.

Watkinsville recently played host to an Anderson County, South Carolina man on a mission of spreading awareness for Parkinson’s disease with a cross-country bike trip.

Steve Quam, who has been diagnosed with the disease, began his second cross-country adventure on April 15, leaving from Edisto Island.  He documents his 4,000-mile journey on the way to Newport, Oregon in the blog Peddling for Parkinson’s awareness, which appears in IndependentMail.com
