Abba is the AAHS Adoptable Dog of the Week!

Abba walked up to her current owner a year ago at a flea market, very skinny, cold and looking for food and love. You wouldn’t know it if you looked at her today, as she now weighs 68 pounds! Abba loves people, and we are thankful she found one that would take care of her like she deserves. However, the other dog in her home isn't so happy about Abba being in her home. The other dog does not like the idea of sharing anything with Abba, so we need to find her a new home. Abba loves people of all ages and dogs, and even though she ignored the in-house cat at our shelter, her owner isn’t sure how she would be in a home with a cat.

We believe Abba is approximately 4-6 years old. Abba needs a home where she can play. Her favorite games are fetch and tug of war. She also knows how to sit, down and come. Abba does not like crates, which could be from past experiences. She also had heartworms, but was treated and has a clean bill of health. She does not need to be on anything except monthly preventative.  

Abba's Canine-ality is Busy Bee: I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings. (Externally motivated)
