"Got Health?" Wellness Fair

"Got Health?,” a free wellness fair, will provide health screenings and wellness information to students and community members on Monday, October 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oconee Campus of Gainesville State College in Watkinsville. The event is coordinated by the Personal Counseling and Wellness Office and will take place outside and within the Student Resource Center (500 Building).

Health professionals from Clarke and Oconee counties and the University of Georgia will provide  blood pressure and body composition/fat index screenings and cover topics such as nutrition, financial wellness, fitness, sexual health, physical and emotional wellness, and lowering stress by caring for companion animals and training and working with guide dogs.  Wellness services represented at the fair will include American Cancer Society, Hardison Family Chiropractic, Mind Body Institute of Athens Regional Medical Center, Project Safe, St. Mary’s Hospital and Health Care System, animal adoption/training services and others.
