Whiz Kid: Rachel Wolfe

An amazing singer, dancer and student...Rachel Wolfe is the total package!

Name: Rachel Wolfe

Age: 14

School:Rachel is a freshman at and a student in the Senior Dance and Musical Theater Companies at the . 

Accomplishments: Rachel placed first for a vocal solo, dance solo, dance duet, and vocal duet at a regional competition in Atlanta at the end of February. In 2009, she was named Junior Miss Access Broadway and this year was first runner-up for Miss Access Broadway. To win this title, students perform solos in acting, vocal and dance categories and must score at least an average of 95 points out of 100 to qualify. 

Key to Awesomeness: Rachel has played lead roles in various productions including:

Edwina in "Dear Edwina"
Blousey Brown in "Bugsy Malone"
Teen Angel in "Grease"
Star To Be in "Annie"

Currently, she has been cast as Maureen/Lowbutt in the Oconee Youth Playhouse's upcoming  production of "Honk!"

In her leading role as herself, she is a mentor to others, always positive and a very driven young lady....rehearsing and practicing beyond regular rehearsals to be her personal best. She takes her work home with her because she truly loves to perform. She dedicates all of her spare time to bettering herself in any way she can.

Rachel is an honor student with a straight A average.   Recently, she won an EPOCHS award at her school for her math achievement.  She maintains this high academic achievement while studying at OYSP for an additional 15 to 20 hours weekly after school.

This summer, Rachel will be attending the Broadway Artists Alliance summer intensive program in New York City.  Rachel plans to attend a conservatory program in college for Musical Theater and then make her way to Broadway!
