Weather: Sunshine and gusty winds close out the work week. The National Weather Service predicts a high of 73 degrees. Much colder temperatures will settle in overnight, with lows in the mid 40s.

Top things to know:

  • Registration for winter sports and activities continues. Visit the OCPR website or sign up in person at Oconee Veterans Park.
  • All are invited to play duplicate bridge at the Watkinsville Community Center every Friday at 1 p.m.  Cost is $4.  The group also meets on Tuesdays.
  • Barberitos at Five Points in Athens hosts a free family fun day from 6-9 p.m.  Ziggy the Clown will be on hand for face painting, balloon art and more.
  • Have you visited the Zombie Farms Haunted Trail on Lexington Road in Athens? If your up for a spooky good time, it's open from 7 p.m. to midnight. See more.
  • UGA's Pamoja Dance Company presents "Dancing Through Life" at the Oconee County Civic Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 or $5 for UGA students.
