Oconee Today -- March 15

A ribbon cutting, a UGA tennis match, and an adoption seminar are a few of the events going on in and around Oconee today.

1. There is an 80 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms for the area today. The Weather Service predicts between one quarter and one half inch of precipitation.  Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.

2. Seniors...get your stretch on!  On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., the Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department offers , a fitness class.  The class is free and takes place in the Community Center gym.

3. How does free pasta sound?  Stop by in Watkinsville at 11 a.m. to celebrate its expansion and official ribbon cutting and eat some free pasta.

4. In sports news, the University of Georgia women's tennis team meets Butler on the courts of the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at noon.

5. A free adoption seminar at the will answer question and discuss the process.  Several professionals, including a lawyer, DFCS representative, and banking representative will be there to provide information.
