Weather: We'll see highs in the low 90s today and partly sunny skies.  The Weather Channel predicts a 30 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon.

Top things to know:

  • Voting in advance of the continues at the Oconee County Board of Elections Office through July 27.  Saturday voting takes place this Saturday, July 21.  See more election news.

  • Holy Yoga of Athens offers two classes today at Mars Hill Baptist Church. The first, , meets from 9-10 a.m.  , a class only for women, meets from 6-7 p.m.
  • The Oconee County Board of Education at its meeting will recognize Geri Ann Glasco, the .  Ashlen Bible will also be recognized for her achievement as the Georgia High School Association's Class AAA Student Athlete of the Year as will  Annabel McSpadden, who won first place in the state 10th grade category of the Young Georgia Authors writing competition.  The meeting begins at 5 p.m. See the complete draft of the agenda.
