Weather: The Weather Channel predicts temperatures will rise up into the upper 80s to low 90s as the work week gets under way. There will be sunny skies and light winds.  Overnight lows will drop into the mid 60s.

Top things to know:

  • inside Georgia Square Mall hosts a Storytime every Monday at 10:30 a.m.  It's followed by a free craft session.
  • The Stadion Classic golf tournament at the University of Georgia begins today. See the schedule of events for the week.  Tickets may be purchased on-line.
  • The 2012 Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) Annual Meeting continues in Savannah today.  Oconee County Board of Commissioners Chairman Melvin Davis served as president of the ACCG for 2011 and during a luncheon today, he will pass the gavel. 
  • It's Honors Night for Oconee County Middle School students.  Recognitions begin at 6 p.m. at the Oconee County Civic Center for sixth-graders and continue at 7 p.m. for seventh-graders and 8 p.m for eighth-graders.
