Oconee Farmers Market Opens for 2011 Season

Saturday marked the beginning of the season.

On Saturday, April 16, the kicked off its 2011 season with live blue grass music by the Red Oak Southern String Band, local produce, baked goods, fresh meats and dairy, and handmade arts and crafts.

The farmers market season runs through October from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. every Saturday. It is located off Main Street in downtown Watkinsville behind the Historic Eagle Tavern.
