OCAF Fall Wine Fest: A Special Fundraiser To Support the Cultural Arts

The festival is at Ashford Manor.

Celebrating its 14th year, the OCAF Fall Wine Fest will take place on the grounds of Ashford Manor in Watkinsville on Sunday, October 27, from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. This year’s event will showcase local culinary talent, wineries, bottle shops, beer and an exciting silent auction.

“The Fall Wine Fest supports the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) ,” says Becky  Powell., Event Chair. “Founded in 1994 as an all-volunteer non-profit arts center, OCAF features annual cultural arts events, art exhibits, art education programs and other special community outreach activities. This event is crucial in supporting OCAF’s mission as being an artistic hub for the area.”

“This year we will feature some of the best culinary talent in the area,” says Kathleen McQuiston, volunteer vendor organizer. “We work very hard to support and showcase local restaurants, regional wineries and brew-masters,” she adds. “We expect more than 600 guests to attend this year - it is one of the most popular food and wine events in Northeast Georgia.”

“The silent auction will feature many new items including a Holland America Line cruise for 2,” says Rosemary Stancil, auction chair. “Other exciting items include original artwork, food and wine baskets, “experience” packages such as private studio tours, and much more. Proceeds will directly benefit OCAF.”

“We are pleased to have the beautiful Ashford Manor as our host venue,” says Becky.  “The gardens are secluded and visually delightful, a great place to relax, be with friend and enjoy a memorable afternoon.”
