Moms Talk Q & A : At What Age?

This week let's talk about earrings, hair dye and piercings.

Each week in Moms Talk, our Moms Council will take your questions, give advice and share solutions about schools, community resources, pediatricians and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.

Here is this week's discussion topic:

My daughter wants her ears to be pierced.Β  I told her yes, when she turns 10-years-old. My son says that the kids are going to the Relay for Life event this Friday to get streaks in their hair because most parents will allow temporary hair dye. He says teens on the bus have died hair...boys and girls. What do you allow your kids to do and at what age?Β  Is this self-expression?
