Bogart Welcomes Fall With a Grand Celebration

Temperatures are dropping, daylight hours are growing shorter, and orange and yellow leaves dot the landscape, growing in number by the day. Another sure-fire sign of autumn's arrival came this past Saturday at the annual Bogart Fall Festival.

The event kicked off with a welcoming by Mayor Teri Glenn and the recognition of Bogart's Outstanding Citizen 2013: Maggie Collins.

Arts and crafts vendors packed Main Street as the sweet scent of barbecued meats filled the air.

Children hopped aboard a colorful train, slid down a giant fire truck slide, and lined up for pony rides. Attendees also enjoyed the Classic Motor Car Show and live musical entertainment, including many local favorites like the Red Oak Southern String Band.
