Watkinsville Author Julie Cannon Dies in Her Sleep
The death may be related to an injury sustained years ago in a bike accident, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.
The Athens Banner Herald is reporting the death of 50-year-old Julie L. Cannon of Watkinsville.
MacGregor Literary agency owner Chip MacGregor told the newspaper the author passed away in her sleep Tuesday.
Cannon has authored six novels including "Truelove & Homegrown Tomatoes," "Those Pearly Gates" and, most recently, "Twang."
As news of Cannon's death spread to her fans, her Facebook page began filling with messages.
One fan wrote, "My heart is breaking over the sudden passing of Julie L Cannon. What a great southern author. If you have never read 'Mater Biscuit, then you should. This book made me laugh and cry. RIP Julie."
Funeral arrangements were not immediately available.

oh my, bless her heart. The one good thing is she had a "Cadillac Death", the kind we all would want given the chance. The heavens have aquired a special angel. Her works will continue to live. how proud she would be and how thankful we are.
