High math and English scores helped vault North Oconee High School to No. 11 on U.S. News and World Report's list of top schools in Georgia.
The report cites 99 percent student proficiency in the subjects as part of its criteria for ranking the school. College readiness and teacher student ratios are the other two primary measures used in the ranking.
The magazine also ranked North Oconee 661 nationally.
Georgia's top high school, according to the report, is Savannah Arts Academy.
