New Principal of Oconee County Middle School Named
The Oconee County Board of Education on Monday appointed Dr. Suzanne Miller to the position.
Assistant principal of South Forsyth Middle School Dr. Suzanne Miller has been hired to replace Judy Marable as principal of Oconee County Middle School for the 2012-13 school year. Marable announced in May she was retiring.
Miller hails from the same school system as new Superintendent Dr. Jason Branch, who served as principal of South Forsyth High School.
“I’m very pleased that Dr. Miller will be leading Oconee County Middle School,” Branch said in a released statement. “She brings a wide assortment of skills and experience, and is a proven instructional leader. She made a significant impact on two high-quality school systems, and I look forward to the impact she will make here."
Miller has worked in the leadership position for Forsyth County Schools since 2007. From 2001 to 2007, she was assistant principal of Snellville Middle School, according to a news release. She worked as a science teacher at Parkview High School from 1992 to 2001, teaching biology, chemistry, and physics. See the attached release for more details about Miller's resume.
Miller assumes her role at OCMS on July 2.
