Suspected Shoplifter Pulls Knife on Oconee County Walmart Employee

The suspect reportedly told the employee, "Don't make me do you."

A Walmart security guard was threatened Tuesday, July 9 by a suspected shoplifter who pulled a knife from his pocket and said, "Don't make me do you," according to an Oconee Sheriff's Office report.

The incident occurred about 10:30 p.m. at the store on Epps Bridge Parkway, where a customer described as a white male, wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts was observed selecting various merchandise and attempting to leave without paying. When the security employee attempted to stop the man, the man reportedly pulled away and said, "Don't touch me," before taking out the knife, a Swiss Army type.

The suspect fled the store, and while several law enforcement units conducted a search of the area, the suspect was not located. He was last seen running across the store parking lot to Epps Bridge.
